Description

Tufts School of Engineering would like to invite all Juniors* to learn more about the combined degree program to earn a master's degree (BS/MS and BS/ME) in one additional year of study at Tufts.

Professor Karen Panetta, Associate Dean of Graduate Education, will outline how the combined-degree program works including: application process, potential internships, and course load. You will also have the opportunity to meet with current BS/MS or BS/ME students to learn more about how to succeed in the program.

Current students in the program will also have the opportunity to ask Associate Panetta about advising, thesis, and other concerns.

If you are a Junior thinking about pursuing a master's degree but may not want to attend grad school for two additional years after undergrad, Tufts combined-degree program may be the right program for you.

We hope to meet on October 8th!

*Juniors who meet the program requirements below, including GPA and graduate program acceptance, are welcome to apply.

If you are thinking about an advanced degree in engineering, you can apply to the engineering combined degree program:

Enhance your marketability for career advancement.

Get summer research funding (as an MS student).

Reduce your tuition cost.

Reduce your time to graduate with a master’s degree.

As a Tufts undergrad:

· You are not required to pay the application fee.

· You need only submit two letters of recommendation.

· You will not be required to submit GRE scores.

Requirements:

  • A minimum GPA (through the fall semester of Junior Year) of 3.6 for the BS/MS
  • A minimum GPA (through the fall semester of Junior Year) of 3.2 for the BS/MEng
  • Acceptance by the department in which the student intends to complete the master’s portion of the program
